Graduating from Alfred University School of Art and Design this May, I will be receiving my BFA with a concentration in painting and drawing. Most of my work is done on paper and I use a variety of materials to create the image. I do not like to restrict my materials due to the fact that the image is the most important, not the materials involved. I enjoy working in oils, however, I find it easier to express the inner-workings of my psyche using more natural materials such as graphite, charcoal, coffee and teas. I also use watercolors, gouache, ink, and colored pencil in many of my images. Mistakes are important in my work, and instead of working around them, I work with them to create something unexpected.
this one and the one with the deer are my favorites - can't wait to see the show in a few weeks
